About the HRC-MS
In its MS configuration, it joins the HRC's high-resolution, continuous zoom thermal camera to a high performance TV camera with a long-range lens. Optional GPS, Digital Magnetic Compass and Laser Rangefinder payloads are also available. The combination of these sensors allows operators to precisely geo-locate objects of interest, and display their position as an overlay on a digital map.
In-Depth Look at the HRC-MSPan/Tilt Mechanism: The pan/tilt offers 360° of continuous viewing and precise control with 1 mrad of pointing accuracy, critical for geo-location or pre-programmed search repeatability.
HRC Thermal: The high-resolution, cooled thermal sensor can be configured with either the 40x490mm or a 60x750mm lens for maximum range performance. Daylight Camera/LRF: You can choose between two daylight cameras and an optional eye-safe laser rangefinder (LRF). The LRF contributes to the accuracy of the geo-location feature of objects in the scene.
Maximum Detail: With FLIR's HRC thermal security camera, you'll see more detail from greater distances than ever before. HRC's 640x480 detector creates crisp, high-resolution thermal video, putting more pixels on target for extreme image detail at unbelievably long ranges. Maximum Range The FLIR HRC comes with a choice of two long-range telescopes: 40x490mm and 60x750mm. In addition to their 12.5:1 optical zoom ratio, both HRC models have 2:1 & 4:1 digital zoom, giving you the ability to reach out to targets far beyond the capability of any other thermal security camera in its class. HRC's continuous zoom feature provides tactical benefits of immeasurable value. By not limiting the operator to two discrete fields-of-view, the HRC operator does not lose sight of the target while changing between zoom settings. What''s more, the operator can select the field-of-view that meets the precise needs of the tactical environment, rather than having to make do with one that is too wide or too tight for his requirements. |

• The HRC high sensitivity detector pixels are 15µm in size. What does this mean to you? You can see more detail with HRC than with cameras that use detectors with larger pixels. • The HRC has built-in Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE) video electronics circuitry. DDE is a proprietary FLIR technology that brings out unmatched image clarity. • Precision lens design allows for low-distortion across the entire image, while maintaining optimized focus quality across the entire zoom range. High-durability anti-reflection coatings ensure long life and consistent performance. • Longer focal length lenses produce greater magnification, but just having a long telescope isn't enough - the lens and detector package must be designed and optimized to work together. |

The HRC Multi-Sensor (MS) is a powerful, sophisticated multi-sensor system designed for demanding and extremely long-range security and surveillance applications.
It is even possible to integrate HRC MS with radar systems to automatically direct the HRC camera, and lock onto the radar track to provide visual target assessment of the radar signature. The HRC MS supports more integration options than any other system in its class. The HRC MS offers control and compressed video over IP, as well as traditional analog video control with Pelco D, RS-232 and -422 serial formats, XML, and SEIWG ICD 001.
GPS/DMC:
An onboard GPS and Digital Magnetic Compass work together to provide precise geo-location of objects of interest in the scene. This information can be displayed on an overlay map, or as lat/long coordinates.

Not all long-range thermal security cameras are created equal. There are lots of factors that impact a thermal camera's ultimate range performance. Is the detector a high resolution 640x480 array or medium resolution 320x240 array? How big are the pixels? What is the focal length of the telescope? Were the detector and telescope designed to work together from day one, or are they unmatched assemblies from different vendors? Does the thermal camera offer Digital Detail Enhancement? Does the thermal camera provide automatic focus and automatic image adjustment? The HRC answers all of these questions to ensure maximum range performance.
• FLIR Systems designed and produced the HRC's thermal detector. It is a high-resolution 640x480 format that has 4 times the picture clarity of cameras that use medium format 320x240 detectors.
