Thermal video brings new possibilities... | 2008-05-29
To start, the unit is affordable and compact. It allows 100 degrees /sec panning speed for quick maneuvering and capturing of moving objects. The D-Series is programmable for up to 32 preset positions and is available in a 6mm or 19mm lens configuration. The system is also Pelco D compatible for easy integration and control. This powerful thermal imager compliments and completes your indoor security camera network in many ways. Multi-Sensor Thermal Imaging:
Thermal imaging cameras have begun to include multiple optic devices for detection and dynamic surveillance applications. Multi-sensor thermal imagers are a unique and essential addition to your CCTV type of imaging system. WideEye II:
The FLIR WideEye II provides a real-time panoramic 180 degrees field of view with the ability to detect a person in total darkness up to 150 meters away. This Multi Sensor system incorporates (3) 640 x 480 Thermal Sensors as well as (3) Hi-Resolution Color CCD Cameras for day light operation. The amazingly wide field of view is ideal for large area monitoring, where pan-tilt cameras alone can miss events. The unit can also be used effectively as a wide angle reference camera in a camera tracking system. No other sensor offers advanced performance in such a small package. Night vision cameras never compare to the effect of thermal imaging One thermal imager has wide angle field of view at 20 degrees, which is ideal for situational awareness. The other with the narrow field of view at 5 degrees is designed for mid-range target recognition. The SR-35x140-MS allows you to detect objects, the size of a human being, more than 2 km. away, in total darkness, through smoke, light fog and the most adverse weather conditions. With the built-in IP video server the SR-35x140 MS can be integrated in any existing TCP/IP network and controlled over a PC. Optional GPS, Digital Magnetic Compass and Laser Rangefinder payloads are also available. The combination of these sensors allows operators to precisely geo-locate objects of interest, and display their position as an overlay on a digital map.
